    The Supervisor, Condition Monitoring role reports directly to the Superintendent, Reliability Engineering. The role is responsible for leading and mentoring a team to safely deliver world class availability and reliability to meet the present and future needs of operational requirements, and the plant maintenance execution with a continuous improvement and reliability philosophy.

    This role will cover the IB OPF, CHF operations and Mine Services. The primary role of the Supervisor, Condition Monitoring is to provide leadership to a team of Condition Monitoring technicians across the entire IB Operational Processing value chain.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Leading the Ore Processing Facilities, Concentrate Handling Facilities and Canning Basin condition monitoring team, including condition monitoring technicians and lubrication technicians
    • Ensure all relevant tasks and projects are conducted and completed in adherence with the FMG Health and Safety requirements.
    • Co-ordinating asset health management across all fixed assets in the processing facility, data collection and analysis to ensure the integrity and reliability of equipment
    • Ensure Condition Monitoring processes, including Vibration Analysis, Oil analysis, thermography, UT and other related techniques are applied to accurately to determine equipment condition
    • Provide technical support and collaboration with maintenance, operations and engineering teams on corrective maintenance recommendations
    • Where required, lead and assist with the root cause analysis and failure investigations
    • Provide timely reporting to the key stakeholders on maintenance recommendations, advice on suitable courses of action and implementation plans
    • Demonstrated visible leadership in safety. Promoting safety awareness, work practices and compliance
    • Promoting environmentally responsible work practices and compliance with environmental plans
    • Creation and continuous improvement of Condition Monitoring Strategies and standard work practices
    • Promote strong Work Management discipline amongst team, including Maintenance work notifications (creation & review), Maintenance orders, capacity loading and time confirmations
    • Chairing the Weekly Condition Monitoring and Lubrication Watchlist
    • Project management and lead on relevant CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) project

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Extensive asset health, maintenance and reliability experience in a fixed plant processing environment and/or heavy industrial environment
    • Mechanical Trade, Electrical Trade or Engineering qualification
    • Certification in Vibration Analysis and Lubrication. Additional certifications in related fields such as NDT and thermography will also be highly regarded
    • Experience in development of green-field scale equipment databases for vibration analysis. Preferably with Emerson Machinery Health Manager
    • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role. Capacity to develop and lead both technical and trade team members
    • Significant experience working with asset health and lubrication systems
    • C Class Drivers Licence
    • Demonstrated experience and understanding of Work & Shutdown Management fundamentals
    • Demonstrated experience and understanding of Hydrocarbon Management fundamentals
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Microsoft Office & SAP skills
