- Work effectively and innovatively within the Finance Team to deliver highly accurate and timely analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual financial performance and management.
- Assist in preparing Business Activity Statement (BAS) and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) Return.
- Processing of monthly journals, preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations and prepayment schedule.
- Assist with the management of CPL's Asset Register.
- Preparation of asset, liability and capital account entries as required.
- Contribute to maximising efficiencies for the Finance Systems and rolling out system improvements across the team.
- Assist with the preparation of reporting associated with Funding Bodies and Acquittals process on a timely basis.
- Solid professional experience in a Financial Accountant position
- Post graduate business qualification (e.g.CA or CPA) or studying
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience in ERP systems (TechOne CiA desirable)
- Strong financial process and system skills and knowledge
- Sound knowledge of reporting requirements for a large organisation
- Knowledge of relevant accounting standards
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Well-developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- High level organisational and prioritisation skills
- Ability to work independently and be self-managed to meet deadlines
