DFP Recruitment is seeking a

Mental Health Program Officer to join our Federal Government team for a three month assignment. The position can be located in any major capital city.


The Mental Health & Wellbeing Services area currently delivers a suite of group programs to support their clients and are delivered through a mixed approach of direct delivery by the Department and in partnership with other health organisations.


The role requires you to:


  • Assist with desktop assessments of current group programs against an evaluation matrix.
  • Assist with the development of a prioritised list of recommended group programs.
  • Develop Group Program Management Strategy and Framework.
  • Identify and establish processes.
  • Assist with the evaluation of current group programs.

About you:


  • Degree qualified Psychologist, Social Worker (eligible for Mental Health Accreditation), Registered Mental Health Nurse, or Mental Health Occupational Therapist
  • Registered with AHPRA or AASW
  • Working with Children (Blue Card) or Working with Vulnerable People (Yellow Card)
  • An Australian Citizen and willing to undertake a National Police Clearance.

In return you will receive:
  • An attractive hourly rate of up to $65 per hour + super
  • Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
  • 3 month contract
