A Waste Transport Officer at EPA will: prevent harm to human health and the environment from the transport of reportable priority waste through upholding quality waste tracking and use of vehicle permissions by:

  • Providing advice on how to use Waste Tracker and how to find information on complying with the law
  • Undertaking Waste Tracker administration functions (setting up Dynamics party management, processing business set up forms, audit processes to enable waste record amendments and cancelations, issuing and processing offline waste records and interstate paper records, incident management when waste tracker is offline).
  • Actioning behaviour change initiatives where noncompliant behaviour has been identified
  • Supporting authorised officers with inspections, investigations, basic data analysis

About You:


To be successful in this role you will be proficient in both written and verbal communication, able to explain complex matters in a simple way.

Your curiosity allows you to learn new digital systems and troubleshoot for a duty holder, delve into Dynamics and SharePoint in search for answers, while keeping an eye out for deliberate non-compliance.

You're collaborative, adaptable and creative, able to continually improve processes, standard messaging, and behaviour change approaches.
