    About the position:
    We are in need of a dedicated Ministry Team Leader! Your role will involve facilitating The Salvation Army Mission and local area mission plans in the Glenorchy region.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Facilitate and organize small groups for exploring faith-related matters.
    • Collaborate with other mission expressions and enterprise leaders to establish Christian faith pathways for individuals engaged through various mission expressions and enterprises.
    • Cultivate a culture of discipleship and leadership, providing volunteering opportunities in alignment with individuals' talents and capabilities.
    • Inspire and lead the team in embracing TSA's vision, mission, and values both internally and externally.
    • Address the pastoral and spiritual needs of the community in accordance with TSA's values and mission.

    This is a part-time position of 24 hours per week, spread over 3 days, with a 12-month contract based in Glenorchy, TAS.

    Requirements:

    • Diploma in Theology, Ministry, or equivalent relevant experience, knowledge, and skills.
    • Deep commitment to the Christian faith and The Salvation Army's mission.
    • Capable of guiding individuals on their spiritual journey, providing pastoral care and prayer support.
    • Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative.
    • Effective communication skills for positive interactions with diverse individuals.
    • Experience in community engagement within the non-profit sector.
    • Familiarity with The Salvation Army's operations.
    • Ability to collaborate with volunteers.
    • Valid Driver's Licence.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Aptitude for providing comprehensive support across various life domains.
