The Salvation Army Australia's Family Violence Stream provides a wide range of services around the country to support women and women with children impacted by family and domestic violence.

We offer refuge, children's and parenting services, counselling, support, men's programs, accommodation and advice to women and children who are experiencing, or who have experienced, family violence.


  • The Salvation Army Graceville Centre is an umbrella name for two refuges (Byanda & Nunyara) that provide short term crisis accommodation for women with or without children who are escaping Family & Domestic Violence and/or homelessness. This centre also provides some medium term, supported transitional housing (Cornelie Court) and an outreach centre. Nunyara can accommodate 6 women without children. Byanda can accommodate 6 women with children. Cornelie Court can accommodate 8 families.
About the role

  • We are currently seeking a valuesdriven Administration Officer to provide secretarial, financial and administrative support to the leadership team and the services of Graceville. This position requires the completion of accurate and objective reports, logs, case notes, files and your reporting to the Network Manager.

  • Provide administrative, financial & secretarial support to the leadership team and the centre
  • Provide supervision, guidance and support to ancillary staff
  • Answer phone enquiries and refers these enquiries through to the relevant department
  • Manage the bookkeeping, banking and accounting associated with rent received, invoices to be paid & donations
  • Assist with WHS data entry & record keeping
  • Assist with maintaining integrity security standards by overseeing CrimCheck data entry and maintaining uptodate CrimCheck and WWCC records
  • Assist with rosters, sick leave & assigning case workers to new clients when the leadership team is away
  • Manage time sheets, annual leave, sick leave, annual pay increments
  • Manage supplies, orders, property repairs & maintenance
  • Adopt a "best practice" approach with reporting, WHS & Duty of Care
This is a permanent full time position based in Perth. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Award Level 2.

You will have

  • Relevant experience with bookkeeping, finance, administration & reception
  • Knowledge and understanding of homelessness and family and domestic violence
  • A current WA driver's licence
  • A willingness to undergo a National Police check
