    Description

    We are seeking a Study Manager for a permanent position. You will report directly to the Manager – Eastern Region and be responsible for delivering studies for all stages of the mining/mineral project lifecycle, from scoping, pre-feasibility (PFS), through to definition study phase (DFS). Current studies consist of a full range of metals and minerals, from the traditional gold and base metals through to the developing battery minerals e.g. Lithium, Aluminium, and Graphite etc.

    Our client is a leading engineering consulting and contracting company that specialises in providing high quality engineering design and construction services to the mining and mineral processing industries. Their services cover all aspects of the project life cycle from the initial evaluation and study phase through to design, construction, commissioning and operational support. Clients range from junior and mid-size resource companies through to international mining houses.

    Key aspects of this role:

    • Coordinate a multi-discipline team with full accountability across the quality, budget, schedule and risk management of the study works
    • Manage and administrate the undertaking of study work to a budget and schedule
    • Managing the progress of deliverables for each study
    • Checking discipline engineering works as required
    • Organising Peer Review activities at the appropriate junctures in the study works
    • Ensuring design & study standards are followed
    • Quality management and study report authoring
    • Client relationship management and fostering good team relations

    What we are looking for:

    • You must have a strong understanding in the development of feasibility studies in mineral processing.
    • You must have a technical mind with a strong understanding of flow sheets.
    • Bachelor of Engineering with at least 10 years in a similar role.
    • Have strong written and oral communication skills and be customer focused and team orientated.
    • Relevant knowledge of the JORC and NI systems and estimating methodology and guidelines.
    • Have the drive to succeed with the best outcomes.
