Responsibilities:

As a Leading Hand Concreter, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing concrete projects from start to finish in the South East Brisbane region


Your primary duties include:

Project Planning and Execution:

• Plan and organize concrete projects, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
• Execute jobs from start to finish, demonstrating expertise in all aspects of concrete work.

Communication:

• Effectively communicate with customers, addressing their concerns, and providing updates on project progress.
• Keep supervisors informed throughout the day, reporting any issues or deviations from the plan.

Team Management:

• Direct and lead a crew of concreters on a daily basis, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to safety standards.
• Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a positive working environment.

Time Management:

• Ensure projects are completed within the allocated time frame, meeting or exceeding client expectations.
• Implement strategies to optimize workflow and minimize delays.

Transportation:

• Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Drive a fully equipped work truck, responsible for transporting equipment, tools, and the crew to various job sites.

Equipment and Inventory Management:

• Maintain and organize tools and equipment on the work truck.
• Conduct regular checks to ensure all equipment is in working order.

Safety and Compliance:

• Uphold strict safety standards on job sites, ensuring all team members adhere to safety protocols.
• Successfully pass a drug test as a requirement for the position.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the concrete industry.
• Previous experience in a leading hand role.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and manage a team of concreters effectively.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Proficient in driving and operating a fully equipped work truck.

Salary:
$ $600.00 per day


Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

• Retention bonus
