The role
Reporting to Shared Service Finance Manager, the Credit Analyst will oversee the control of the Group credit functions.
The role is responsible for the creation, revision and enforcement of relevant policies and procedures, ensuring an acceptable level of risk is maintained, that payments are made, losses are kept to a minimum and arrears are economically collected.
Key Responsibilities- Monitoring the credit framework and policies
- Providing direction and governance around customer debt issues
- Working closely with the Sales team to monitor credit risk
- Running financial analysis of customers' financial statement
- Reporting on status of receivables portfolio, debt recovery, and recommending actions
- Ensuring provision of doubtful debtors and preparing annual papers
- Reviewing and preparing credit submissions
- Monitoring monthly reporting and audit requirements
- Monitoring compliance of customer control
Skills & experience required
- Certificate in Credit Management, and tertiary qualifications are advantageous
- Strong experience in Credit Management within large complex environment
- Understanding of business concepts such as goodwill, equity, cash flow and security
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- High Analytical, problem solving and planning skills
