About the role


The Network Planning Principal role is responsible for the development and delivery of detailed, safe, efficient, and effective possession plans that meet the customers contracted needs within a 1-12-month time frame.

This will include communicating with key internal and external stakeholders, formulating, and managing planned and unplanned disruptions across the year, data analysis, and reporting.

This role will work closely with different teams within the business and liaise with key external stakeholders including ATRC, UGL and Sydney Trains.

The key result areas are centred around Customer Focus, Safety, Performance and Operations with duties including:

  • Conducting network capacity planning to ensure optimal performance for customers.
  • Collaborating with crossfunctional teams to develop possession plans to cater for major planned disruptions Australia wide.
  • Create train plans with an indepth knowledge of the major works programs to enhance service delivery.
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date planned disruption documentation.

About you
This is a key role that contributes to Pacific National's purpose
we deliver what matters.

You will be a strong communicator with demonstrated experience building key relationships with internal and external stakeholders with the ability to negotiate and influence outcomes.


In addition, you will have:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise own work and be highly organised.
  • Demonstrated experience working with multiple data points and using data insights to formulate plans.
  • Intermediate Excel skills to analyse and present data.
