Our client is an Australian owned and operated business which provides patients with an alternative approach to integrative medicine. They offer a comprehensive approach to healthcare, incorporating various services to help patients achieve optimal health.


Description
As a Medical Receptionist, your Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Answering phones and phone enquiries
  • Booking appointments using designated platforms used within the clinic
  • Obtain appropriate details from new patients and advise them of the billing policy of the clinic
  • Invoice and receipt patient billing (Medicare & Private)
  • Prepare and balance daily banking, and file reports as appropriate
  • Recording patient payments in the clinic prepayment register and reconciling daily
  • Scan and assign documents to patient's file
  • Updating medical records and patient information
  • Correspond with referring doctors courteously and helpfully
  • Attend to account queries if possible or refer to Practice Manager if in doubt
  • Supporting the Practice Manager and doctors whilst working as part of a team
  • Liaise with external departments such as, but not limited to pathology, TGA, maintenance personnel and follow up on requirements from these departments according to clinic procedures
  • Attend to routine cleaning and stocking requirements and ensure all furniture and equipment is clean and tidy

Profile

  • Minimum 1 year medical reception experience
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high standard reception and administrative support
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate warmly and effectively with a variety of people
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision, as well as within a broader team
  • Ability to work well in a busy environment managing multiple demands
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality regarding patient and clinic information
