The Role
We curently have an exciting ooportunity for a Business Performance Specialist to join our team.

Support Motor Claims, you will use your blend of communication, data & technical skills to alleviate technical debt, build robust solutions (Tableau & SQL), build models that facilitate scenario analysis, analyse performance and identify insights to support business decision making.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Analyse data in the context of the business environment to provide insight into and / or recommendations for key stakeholders
  • Automate and streamline reporting / analytical processes.
  • Provide technical expertise / support for peers with complicated SQL queries including tradeoffs between performance and readability / maintenance
  • Undertake ad hoc analysis and deep dives support business initiatives and understand underlying drivers of outcomes (e.g. cost)
  • Provide reports and insights that enable a clear, factbased view of 'performance' to inform motor Direct Claims and Insurance Supply Chain decisionmaking.
  • Build models (normally Excel) that facilitate scenario testing to support decisions related to business process reengineering
  • Measure and evaluate core operational data to identify process improvement opportunities and efficiencies to drive innovation in support of the financial year targets.

Skills & Experience
We understand that all the listed skills & experience may not be met. The strength and balance in each area will be evaluated as part of the recruitment process.

  • Strong capability and experience in SQL and data warehousing is mandatory
  • Experience in Tableau highly desirable, or a competitive tool such as Power BI.
  • Ability to interpret numerical data and clearly communicate the results and conclusions
  • Able to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholders and team members
  • Can work independently but thrives in an empowered team environment
  • Data solution design experience is highly regarded.
  • Experience in insurance, motor claims, is highly regarded
