About us

The Role
Our client is seeking a experienced maintenance fitter to join their team located in Cannon Hill.


Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively work and communicate with production and other maintenance team members to ensure plant performance is maximised across all shifts
  • Maintaining mechanical equipment in a safe and useable condition to ensure that the workplace is safe for all staff
  • Participation in and guidance of all maintenance procedures relating to the plant, equipment, and facility
  • Responsible for the daytoday mechanical serviceability of the production line to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum and undertake maintenance works for other areas of the plant as required
  • Participating in a Preventative Maintenance Program in relation to the production line and site equipment and facilities to ensure that maintenance works are coordinated and completed in a timely manner, records of repairs and maintenance carried out are retained, and both planned and unplanned stoppages are minimised
  • Participate as required in projects and modifications to improve machinery efficiency and reliability, ensuring that all work carried out is safe and considered
  • Conformance to statutory and company approved safe operating procedures

Skills/Experience Required

  • Successful completion of a trade qualification (mechanical trade) required
  • A high regard for health, safety, must be able to work with power equipment
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual labour tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
