About the role


Reporting to the
Mining Superintendent, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements and company policy and procedures, and providing leadership and direction to respective mining teams (crews) to help achieve optimal mining performance.


This position will be based at our Mount Marion site on an
7 Days, 7 Nights / 14 Days off roster.


You will be responsible for:


  • Promoting company safety systems to meet site safety standards
  • Actively promote processes to deliver safety and production/maintenance goals
  • Assist with planning and allocation of resources to achieve weekly outputs
  • Instruct, Coach and Assist Leading Hands regarding their daily assignments and goals
  • Actively coordinate and follow all relevant company procedures
  • Accurately maintain and report all weekly production/plant and equipment data
  • Resolve operational/maintenance problems within training and capability
  • Ensure all plans are compliant with company policies, procedures, and standards

What you'll bring to the team:

  • 4+ years' Supervisory experience in production environment
  • Certificate IV in Frontline Leadership, or equivalent
  • Leading and maintaining a safe work environment for self and others
  • Proven leadership experience and people management skills
  • Ability to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder influencing skills
  • Welldeveloped analytical, conceptual, and problemsolving skills
  • Be resilient and exposure to hard rock minerals would be highly desirable
