ABOUT THE ROLE


Responsible for optimizing the sales performance and profitability of Peloton's Direct Sales channels (retail showrooms and inside sales) within a defined district by providing showroom and inside sales teams with sales leadership, business insights/acuity, coaching, support, and oversight to ensure an exceptional brand experience for our members.

In cases where Peloton sells via a third party retailer, this role will also support the implementation and ongoing business insights as well as performance management of those relationships.

District Sales Managers must spend 3-4 days/week in the field at Peloton Showrooms.


YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

  • Provide sales direction and mentorship to Direct Sales teams to inspire and encourage them to meet or exceed sales targets on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
  • Maintain the relationship with third party retailers, from a sales and experience point of view, working closely with Australian leadership who will lead the overarching relationship Train and cultivate showroom pipeline management through Salesforce
  • Ensure financial goals are met by recognizing shortfalls and growth opportunities based on key store financial metrics and creating or implementing solutions
  • Evaluate the stores and inside sales weekly performance compiling weekly, monthly, and YTD assessments
  • Provide updates on performance to the international Direct Sales leadership team
  • Work cross functionally with the Australian Leadership team and their functions to ensure effective implementation of key strategic projects for the market
  • Work with Director of Retail and Showroom Managers to develop strategies to raise performance in all stores and return any underperforming location to profit targets
  • Lead all aspects of hiring of outstanding showroom leadership and sales team members when required
  • Coordinate performance reviews and development programs for all management staff
  • Hold teams accountable to sales performance expectations and build development plans
  • Develop Showroom People leader and showroom teams and build succession planning
  • Ensure growth of customer base through community engagement
  • Contribute to the development of local marketing programs that drive sales and traffic, and lead retail teams to effectively implement marketing programs to Peloton's standards
  • Ensure appropriate representation of the Peloton brand in every element of the retail experience, including culture, standards, people, and communication
  • Always represent the brand as an hardworking ambassador
  • Ensure operational and visual standards are maintained

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

  • Experience of dynamically responsible experience as a sales manager (preferably multishowroom manager) in an environment where building and motivating high performance, serviceoriented teams is critical to success
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Consistent record of effective qualitative and quantitative judgment and decision making
  • Strong financial acumen including the ability to create budgets and sales targets
  • Strong management skills through change
  • Experience hiring, coaching, and training retail teams to build an outstanding brand experience in showrooms
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Appreciation of fitness and a balanced lifestyle
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms vital (Salesforce is a plus)
  • 70% of the time will be spent in stores and traveling
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
