About the role
Mater Education has an exciting opportunity for experienced
RTO Educators to join our Industry leading Registered Training Organisation.

This role is primarily focused on the delivery and assessment activities related to the
Vocational Education and Training in Schools program (VETis) within the
Toowoomba region.

These roles will be offered in a
casual capacity.

Salary:
Commensurate with experience plus 11% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900


What you'll be doing
The RTO Educator will deliver and assess education and training within the Registered Training Organisation.

They will be responsible for student management and accountable for ensuring excellence in educational outcomes for students and employers within the organisation aligned to our mission and values.

Your key duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Prepare and deliver training according to program requirements including workplace, online or classroom, and/or a combination of each when they are scheduled.
  • Provide flexible training and assessment strategies suited to the needs of individual students.
  • Evaluate and monitor student progress throughout the course, providing appropriate support.
  • Manage assessment of student competence throughout the course, providing sufficient constructive feedback to promote positive outcomes.
  • Seek appropriate assistance if students have learning or literacy difficulties, or disabilities.
  • Ensure all delivery is fully compliant with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015, and subsequent regulatory framework.
  • Use and maintain Mater Education's equipment, facilities and resources in a professional and responsible manner.
  • Manage students administratively according to Mater Education's procedures within the student management system (SMS) and learning management system (LMS).
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings, open days, expos and information sessions as required.
  • Provide a learning environment with mínimal risk to staff and students by meeting Workplace Health and Safety benchmarks.
  • Actively participate in validation of assessments through the moderation process.

About you
To be considered for this role, applicants will have:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the relevant industry
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector and experience working within an RTO environment
  • Detailed understanding of the relevant profession and accreditation requirements
  • Enthusiastic and engaging individual who is highly knowledgeable in the relevant industry
  • Strong adherence and acknowledgment of Policies and Procedures and industry requirements
  • Ability to work well with peer educators and as part of a team.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential qualifications for all educators

TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE):

  • Valid Working with Children Card (BlueCard)
  • Current Drivers Licence
This position might suit applicants with a Nursing or Health services or admin background; relevant qualification related to area of training and assessment include:

  • Certificate II in Health Support Services
  • Certificate III in Health Services Assistance
  • Certificate III Health Administration
  • Diploma of Nursing
  • Bachelor of Nursing or Midwifery
