_The Role:
_


You will be responsible for leading and managing a residential facility which provides various supports to elderly men, often experiencing challenges with Mental Health and/or substance abuse, who are at risk of homelessness.


As Residential Care Manager you will:

  • oversee various on site functions, providing leadership and support to 4 line reports
- ensure provide optimal care for each individual, improving residents physical, social and emotional wellbeing.
- effectively manage business related risks
- develop relationships to drive engagement in the community
- manage the facilities budget (circa $5-$10m) and exceed financial targets


_Desirable Criteria:
_


  • Postgrad qualifications in healthcare and/or management, ideally in an Aged Care / Mental Health / Drug & Alcohol related field
  • Possess post graduate qualifications in business management, finance or related field, or significant transferable experience.
  • High level of financial and business acumen, with experience autonomously managing budgets of a $510 million range annual portfolio, financial reporting for internal Senior Leadership review, and other financial aspects relevant to healthcare or aged care settings.
  • Demonstrated experience in and working knowledge of contemporary aged care including but not limited to:
  • Aged Care Act 1997 and amendments.
  • Aged Care Accreditation Standards.
  • Aged Care Policies.
  • National Disability Insurance Scheme.
  • Medication administration.
  • Contemporary practice in aged care, mental health, homelessness and alcohol and other drugs.
