The Role
A full-time, permanent opportunity based in Brisbane is available for an
experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Engineering team.

As the
Engineering Manager, you will demonstrate a clear and concise communication style and possess the ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally.

You will take ownership and be responsible for the engineering management of the full life cycle of projects from estimating and design through to construction.

Additional accountabilities for this role include;

  • Providing leadership to, and coordinating the efforts of design teams
  • Client interface management
  • Contribute to the development of the Project Execution Plan (PEP) together with the project leadership team (including procurement, project controls, construction, and commissioning), and allocate roles and responsibilities.
  • Ensure inputs to scope definition for the appropriate execution stage are firm and meet agreed requirements before commencing work.
  • Develop the engineering budget and scope for the project and maintain an effective change management system through delivery.
  • Develop the engineering work packages (EWPs) for all deliverables and timebased functions.
  • Regularly review and appraise the structure of the engineering project team in terms of its ability to meet short
- and long-term objectives, and institute appropriate changes.

  • Direct and review the engineering activities to ensure that work quality is satisfactory and appropriate technical personnel development programs are conducted
  • Assume responsibility for the engineering administrative function, directing Area Engineers, Discipline Engineers and other groups engaged in interrelated engineering responsibilities
  • Coordinate quality audit verifications to ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards and internal procedures for all design activities. Instigate corrective actions as required.
