Operations Tradesperson

Permanent Full Time Opportunity

38-hour week with a 9-day fortnight (Rostered Day Off)**
Salary ranging from $68,381.56 $79,470.56 p.a plus 11% Superannuation (Depending on Experience and Qualifications)

About the Role
**The purpose of this position is to participate in the construction of Council's roads and drainage infrastructure assets. This position works across multidisciplined areas and project teams, assisting in a variety of manual labouring, plant operation and skilled construction tasks.

The position will liaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and at times may interact with community members.

Essential Criteria

  • Certificate III in Construction or related discipline and demonstrated experience in construction and/or maintenance (roads and drainage) operating of construction equipment and tools relevant to the field.
  • Proven ability to follow instructions within a team environment, and to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with key stakeholders in delivering information on operational and maintenance services.
  • Hold and maintain MR Class Drivers Licence, Traffic Control Combo (Stop Slow Bat and Implement Traffic Plans) and WHS Induction Card with a willingness to obtain within 12 months of employment; Level 1 Accredited Chainsaw
  • Trim & Crosscut Fallen Trees, Working near live electrical apparatus (nonelectrical worker) certification, and current First Aid certificate.
  • Maintain MR drivers licence without restriction and ability to operate manual transmission
  • Be willing to participate in oncall roster and overtime (where applicable)
