About the Opportunity:

Join the CleanCo team as an Electrical Tradesperson at our 385 MW Swanbank E Gas-fired Power Station in Ipswich.

This role is a part of a multidisciplinary site based team and will perform plant maintenance, modification, overhauls, plant inspections and related duties to meet the production and maintenance requirements of the station.

This role's key priorities are to perform routine and breakdown maintenance on all plant and equipment at Swanbank Power Station.


This is a site-based opportunity that works a Monday to Thursday roster and will participate in the site on-call roster when trained.


To be considered for this position you will live (or be willing to relocate) locally to the Ipswich region or within an hour's drive to Swanbank Power Station.


About you:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A valid QLD Electrical Trade Certificate and Workers License.
  • Previous maintenance experience in power stations or complex process and heavy industries with exposure to high voltage switching and maintenance.
  • Certificate III and experience in Instrumentation and Control will be highly regarded.
  • Electrical Equipment Hazardous Areas (EEHA) and High Voltage Isolation and Access (HVIA) certifications will be highly regarded.
  • An understanding of Safe Work Systems and associated protocols (Safe Work Planner, Safe Work Approver, Safe Work Coordinator, Isolation Verifier, Confined Space Preparer, Confined Space Verifier).
  • Demonstrated experience with a computerised maintenance management system.
  • An understanding of systems construction, capacities, limitations, theories of operation, plant design, equipment locations, valving configurations, normal ranges of flow, temperature and levels, complex instrumentation, and automatic control systems.
  • Ability to build strong relationships both internally within the Station and with key stakeholders and with external providers.
  • An open and current manual driver's license (C Class).
