About this Opportunity
We are seeking a team-oriented individual to take up the full time permanent position of
Laboratory Technician in our Harvey Laboratory team.
You must be self-motivated, able to work a seven day shift roster which will include weekends and nights as required.
You must also have a strong focus on quality and safety and be able to work as part of an effective team.
A working knowledge of HACCP and a strong communications skills and a dedication to get it right the first time.
Reporting to the Laboratory Coordinator your duties will include:- Chemical and bacteriological analysis of in-line and finished product and raw materials.
- Ensure prompt and accurate test results are communicated to internal and external customers, both written and oral.
- Maintain equipment calibration schedules.
- Ensure housekeeping and safety standards are maintained at all times.
- Receive, check and store all consumables for the laboratory and undertake other duties as required.
Qualification
- Certificate / Diploma in Laboratory Techniques or equivalent qualification OR
- Significant experience in a laboratory/testing supporting a food manufacturing operations.
- Experience in a dairy food manufacturing environment will be highly regarded.
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong focus on quality and hygiene
- Understanding of GMP and HACCP principles.
- Be a team player.
- Be able to follow procedures and undertake quality checks.
- Strong focus towards safety and Lactalis Values and Behaviours.
- Reliable transport and drivers licence.
