Kalgoorlie-Boulder Youth Crisis Accommodation (KBYCA)offers 24/7 short-term accommodation and support at our 6 room residential centre in the heart of the Goldfields region.

About the role

We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Youth Worker to provide support to Young People aged 15 to 25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Reporting to the Service Manager, this is a Casual position based in Kalgoorlie, WA . Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Level 4.

You will successfully

• Establish effective relationships with young people and key stakeholders to encourage favorable outcomes for young people facing homelessness.
• Develop an individual case plan in collaboration with clients and include a range of interventions that clearly address the need of the client.
• Provide case management support in accordance with the contractual requirements of service delivery.
• Work within the identified support systems and alongside stakeholders to improve outcomes for young people.
• Work within managed time frames both individually and as a member of a larger multi-system team.
• Maintain accurate and up to date client records and data for all clients.

You will have

• A valid Employee Working with Children Check
• A WA Driver's licence.
• Minimum Certificate III in Community services or significant relevant experience working with youth, youth at risk or within a residential care environment.
• Experience working with young people - some with complex needs or in a residential care environment.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office systems.
