About the Role
UGL are seeking interest from skilled Commercial Associate's to join our Fuel & Energy line of business.

Located in our Melbourne head office, reporting to Senior Commercial Manager you will be responsible for the provision and support of commercial, financial and contractual functions to achieve commercial success across a diverse portfolio of projects.


Key responsibilities & accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide commercial oversight for various projects across an integrated portfolio
  • Develop and maintain systems that ensure financial, commercial and contractual performance
  • Undertake contract reviews during tender stage through to contract award in accordance with established corporate policies
  • Assist with contract and subcontract agreements, including the processing of notices, progress claims, variations and extension of time requests
  • Contribute to the innovation process within the business
  • Strictly adhere to both UGL and client's safety and environmental systems and standards
  • Oversee operations of direct reports, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met

About you


To be successful in this role you will need the ability to work with a dispersed business team, provide insightful information and implement solutions that guide proactive decision making that achieve the desired business outcome.


  • Tertiary qualifications in business, commercial, engineering, finance, legal or similar
  • Practical contract administration, quantity surveying or engineering experience is desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in schedule and cost plan analysis and measurement, contractual claims analysis and variation management is preferable
  • Highly developed communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Strong conflict resolution skills coupled with the ability to work independently, prioritise demands, and learn quickly
  • Proficient skills across the MS Suite
