We support the LPG/ LNG and Chemical plants at our Kwinana operations (production of gas, solid and liquid products) to plan and execute major shutdowns and seek to maintain a center of technical excellence through the professional development of our people.


About the role:


An opportunity exists for an experienced person with a suitable trade such as a mechanical or electrical & instrumentation or an engineering background, to join our high performing shutdown team in the Asset Integrity Group of Technical Services.


You will provide expertise in planning major shutdowns by scoping, resourcing, planning, scheduling and executing major shutdowns in the AAN, SCP and Kleenheat LPG and LNG plants in Kwinana.

Reporting to our Shutdown Planning Superintendent, you will work alongside our dedicated team to scope, resource, schedule and execute the required shutdown maintenance of our plants and equipment whilst prioritizing your safety and the safety of contractors working with you.

  • Developing and implementing safety initiatives whilst promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Openly collaborating with your team as well as other teams across the business.
  • Assisting in the development of shutdown maintenance plans and work schedules.
  • Prepare detailed work scopes to enable execution by the contractor staff.
  • Monitoring, reviewing and correcting relevant maintenance work orders during the shutdown.
  • Supply information from the shutdown work to update equipment data and equipment partlisting as required.
  • Assist in running the daily shutdown meeting, track and update progress on shutdown jobs,
  • Recording work order history as required.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvements that increase plant reliability.

About You:


You will hold a trade certificate or higher and have demonstrated experience in shutdown maintenance planning within a chemical manufacturing plant or similar industry.

A requirement of this opportunity may involve after hours work at times, including weekends and public holidays.


In addition you will:

  • Demonstrate experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP
  • JDE, Oracle eAM, SAP) systems.
  • Demonstrate experience in using the Primavera P6 software
  • Have strong communication and project management skills.
  • Previous experience in the use of computerbased planning packages.
  • Knowledge of engineering drawings and maintenance standards.
  • Experience in JDE and Oracle eAM or SAP is desirable.
