About the Role

The People and Culture (P&C) team at Glen Eira City Council is looking for a committed and customer focused professional to support the various human resource administrative functions to ensure a seamless service to the business.


This role will provide administrative support to the Chief People Officer and the broader team on all aspects of human resource management.

The People and Culture Support Officer is required to:

  • Provide administrative and project support for the Chief People Officer
  • Draft routine correspondence, memos, presentations, documentation and reporting
  • Support the administrative requirements for the wider P&C team
  • Participate in the preparation of reports for Council Executive and Committee meetings
  • Assist in the effective and timely response to all correspondence received
  • Act as a point of contact for general P&C enquiries as required
  • Focus on continuous improvement and identify process and administrative improvements for the P&C team

About you
You are a proactive, efficient and results focused individual with exceptional interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

With strong organisational and time management abilities, your approachable nature and high level of integrity and confidentiality are second to none.


To be considered for this role, you will:

  • Have relevant experience in an administrative/support position and/or relevant and appropriate qualifications in a similar role
  • A strong understanding of human resource practices and procedures
  • A focus on technology, in particular with the Microsoft Office suite and HRIS system
