The Role

An opportunity has become available for an Administration Officer (Child Youth Mental Health Service - Better Care Together) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Provide efficient administrative, general reception and/or secretarial support to a multidisciplinary team
  • Provide effective and cooperative communications by responding appropriately to enquiries
  • Facilitate admission, discharge and transfer of patients to and from the unit
  • Assist clinical staff in the provision of care and treatment to consumers as requested with administration and data entry tasks
About you


To be successful in this position you will require:

  • While not mandatory, a sound knowledge of internal hospital information systems and the ability to work in a busy clinical environment is highly desirable
  • Evidence of vaccination and remain vaccinated against
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Permanent part time (45.6 hours per fortnight)
  • Base salary ranging from $ $41.90 per hour
