The Role

Our Sydney region is in search of an Office Manager in a full time capacity, responsible for maintaining our workspaces, overseeing the local workplace experience team, making the experience of working in our Greater Sydney Offices comfortable and inviting.

Our workspaces must promote the well-being of our people while ensuring they have the space and tools to do what they love, safely and efficiently.

You will need to be able to respectfully deal with a diverse range of people both internally and externally. You will be joining a fast paced, busy team and will enjoy operating with an appropriate level of autonomy reporting to our Greater Sydney Local Leader


Day to day responsibilities include:


  • Work with Greater Sydney Local Leader to develop annual plans for the offices, aligning with the strategic direction. Take responsibility for tracking throughout delivery to ensure key deliverables are met.
  • Manage and develop the Greater Sydney Workplace Experience team, including; Reception, Workplace Coordinators and Event Coordinator.
  • Coordinate the roll out of any WHS initiatives developed by the Shared Services Leaders or the National Working Group.
  • Ensure our spaces meet the requirements of Environmental Social Governance (ESG) policies as developed.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager on new leases or lease renewals ensuring adequate time for negotiations and execution.
  • Ensure that Greater Sydney Workplace team maintains the offices to clean and wellpresented standards with appropriate support and facilitation of meeting rooms, office resources, and reception.
  • Support local onboarding and offboarding within the Greater Sydney offices, in consultation with section support and Managers as required.
***- Proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with Northrop's external partners, suppliers and internally with Northrop people.

  • Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to develop rapport and maintain effective relationships, internal and external to the company.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally with experience in a professional services or consultancy environment
  • Proven managerial and leadership experience, managing up to 5 direct reports
  • Excellent organisational skills ability to work with a large number of internal stakeholders and prioritise tasks effectively.
