- Bupa Windsor is a modern care home, located 7.5km's south of Melbourne's CBD, close to Albert Park, Melbourne CBD, St Kilda and transport links. It is one building of 41 beds, with a mixture of care types. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and wellbeing of our residents
About The Role
Please note, this is a Fixed term/Secondment Maternity Cover Opportunity commencing in mid-February. As our Care Manager, you will work as part of a team of empathetic and caring clinical professionals.
You will support the General Manager in managing and leading the delivery of person-centred care of residents, ensuring the highest standard of ongoing assessment, care planning and evaluation and clinical governance, helping them to live longer, healthier, and happier lives.

Duties include
- Oversee the daily clinical operations of the care home
- Support and lead the care home clinical team including coaching, mentoring, staff allocations and delegation, performance management and education
- Review clinical incidents, complaints and changes
- Lead compliance with ACFI assessments
- Manage personcentred care planning and evaluation for residents including case conferencing with families and carers
- Prepare and conduct clinical governance audits
- Oversee medication management in accordance with resident needs and legislative requirements
- Liaise with allied health, medical practitioners and other services to provide optimal resident care
Skills and Experience
- Current AHPRA is essential
- Bachelor of Nursing or Equivalent is essential
- Post grad qualification in aged care highly regarded
- Experience managing a minimum of 30 beds
- Proven track record in delivering quality clinical care within an aged care or acute setting
- Excellent clinical assessment skills and care planning capabilities
- Highly effective communication, leadership and relationship management skills
- An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes
