$68,825 - $79,971 + Superannuation (based on skills and experience)(paid pro-rata for part-time appointments)

About the Role
St Gregory's is seeking a creative, energetic and committed
Defence Transition Mentor.


The occupant of the position will work alongside our schools to support Defence students' social and emotional wellbeing in alignment with the school's pastoral care policies and procedures.

The position will also involve providing Defence families with information about the school environment and supports, as well as building knowledge of staff within the school to support the wellbeing needs of students from a Defence background.


Essential Criteria

  • Sound communication skills both oral and written, and the ability to communicate effectively with primary aged children, school staff, and parents;
  • Ability to organise own work, set priorities, meet deadlines, work independently and as part of a team, and maintain confidentiality;
  • Ability to plan, organise, evaluate and deliver activities and resources relating to the needs of ADF families;
  • Skills in advocacy and negotiations including problem solving and conflict resolution;
  • Must hold a NSW Working with Children registration (WWCC).
  • Certificate IV in Education Support (or equivalent qualification) and an understanding and/or experience of Defence life is desirable._
