    Description

    Job Responsibilities:


    1. Oversee and administer Multicultural Affairs Queensland's records management and information systems.
    2. Effectively manage and ensure compliance with relevant human resource, financial management, and other standards, policies, and legislation relevant to the operations of the department.
    3. Lead the provision of effective cost centre management through the development, maintenance, and review of financial management systems, including activities such as:

      1. Processing invoices for payment
      2. Corporate card management
      3. Monitoring cost centre expenditure
      4. Ensuring accountability for monies received and paid
      5. Preparing budget estimates, forecasts, and reconciliation
    4. Effectively liaise, negotiate, and consult with management and staff to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of administrative support services as well as liaise with people at all levels internal and external to the organisation.
    5. Provide leadership in the delivery of financial, human resource, operational, equipment, and facility services within the context of the department's strategic plan.
    6. Develop and maintain management information systems and records management systems to provide relevant information to the Director and Executive Director.
    7. Provide human resource support to Multicultural Affairs Queensland by undertaking activities such as maintaining establishment documentation, providing basic HR advice, and applying legislation.
    8. Communicate effectively and sensitively with people from culturally diverse backgrounds.
