Store Manager - Petrol and Convenience - St Kilda - $70K+Super

As a well-established and growing business, they are seeking a motivated and experienced Retail Manager to join our team and contribute to our continued success.


About the Role:

As the Store Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our petrol and convenience store.


Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Daily operations, including managing staff, inventory, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Leading by example and providing exceptional customer service to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere for customers.
  • Managing and training staff members to deliver excellent customer service, maintain store cleanliness, and uphold high merchandising standards.
  • Handling cash transactions, including opening and closing registers, reconciling cash drawers, and ensuring accuracy in cash handling procedures.
  • Managing inventory levels, receiving and processing deliveries, and ensuring proper stock rotation to minimise wastage.
  • Collaborating with the Store Manager to analyse sales data, identify trends, and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and maximise profitability.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining a safe working environment for staff and customers.
  • Assisting in resolving customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Supporting the Area Manager in administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, and reporting.

Skills and Experience:
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Proven experience in a retail or convenience store environment, preferably in Store OR Assistant Manager position.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customercentric approach.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with pointofsale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
  • Knowledge of petrol station operations, including fuel management and safety protocols, is desirable.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
