As a well-established and growing business, they are seeking a motivated and experienced Retail Manager to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
About the Role:
As the Store Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our petrol and convenience store.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Daily operations, including managing staff, inventory, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Leading by example and providing exceptional customer service to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere for customers.
- Managing and training staff members to deliver excellent customer service, maintain store cleanliness, and uphold high merchandising standards.
- Handling cash transactions, including opening and closing registers, reconciling cash drawers, and ensuring accuracy in cash handling procedures.
- Managing inventory levels, receiving and processing deliveries, and ensuring proper stock rotation to minimise wastage.
- Collaborating with the Store Manager to analyse sales data, identify trends, and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and maximise profitability.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining a safe working environment for staff and customers.
- Assisting in resolving customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Supporting the Area Manager in administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, and reporting.
Skills and Experience:
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Proven experience in a retail or convenience store environment, preferably in Store OR Assistant Manager position.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customercentric approach.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with pointofsale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
- Knowledge of petrol station operations, including fuel management and safety protocols, is desirable.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
