As a well-established and growing business, they are seeking a motivated and experienced Retail Manager to join our team and contribute to our continued success.

About the Role:

As the Store Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our petrol and convenience store.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Daily operations, including managing staff, inventory, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Leading by example and providing exceptional customer service to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere for customers.
Managing and training staff members to deliver excellent customer service, maintain store cleanliness, and uphold high merchandising standards.
Handling cash transactions, including opening and closing registers, reconciling cash drawers, and ensuring accuracy in cash handling procedures.
Managing inventory levels, receiving and processing deliveries, and ensuring proper stock rotation to minimise wastage.
Collaborating with the Store Manager to analyse sales data, identify trends, and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and maximise profitability.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining a safe working environment for staff and customers.
Assisting in resolving customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
Supporting the Area Manager in administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, and reporting.

Skills and Experience:
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

Proven experience in a retail or convenience store environment, preferably in Store OR Assistant Manager position.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customercentric approach.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Proficient computer skills, including experience with pointofsale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
Knowledge of petrol station operations, including fuel management and safety protocols, is desirable.
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
