About the opportunity


We are looking for a motivated and talented individual to fill the Coordinator Development Engineering position on a permanent, full-time basis.


You will provide guidance and leadership to ensure the team operates efficiently and effectively to meet targets, and to deliver sound engineering outcomes and advice to our internal and external customers.


Qualifications and experience

Essential:


  • Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering or a related field
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of urban developments, development consents and various engineering approvals
  • Sound knowledge of the _Environmental Planning and Assessment (EPA) Act 1997_ and of other legislation, policies and codes related to urban development
  • Sound decisionmaking skills, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated skills in the leadership and management of staff
  • Current Class "C" driver's licence.

Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council's Enterprise Agreement.

  • Entry level for this position starts at $2,092.25 per week
  • 35hour working week
  • Leaseback vehicle
  • Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement
