As the Payroll Officer for Haynes Group, you will have a key role in providing support to our employees and our payroll team.

Payroll Officer Responsibilities

Ensuring all payroll transactions are processed in a timely and accurate manner
Assist the payroll function with endtoend processing of monthly, fortnightly and weekly payrolls
Collecting, calculating, and entering data in order to maintain and update payroll information
Maintain Time and Attendance function.
Compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages and reporting on this
Resolving payroll discrepancies and general queries
Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and procedures
Developing ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed
Support the payroll team

To be successful in this key role, you must demonstrate

Proven experience within payroll function (minimum 12 years)
Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills inclusvive of Excel and Outlook
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Ability to be flexible in a fastpaced work environment
Ability to prioritise and meet strict deadlines
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
Experience with payroll systems and electronic timesheet systems
Ability to work autonomously, 2 days per week in Pinkenba and 3 days per week in CBD
