About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to for enthusiastic and motivated Operations Manager to work in collaboration with the Director of SydPath, to provide strategic and operational leadership for the pathology services.
The Operations Manager is responsible for the effective operations of the laboratories and business functions of SydPath as well as ensuing the delivery of high performing and high quality service centred on a client focused approach supporting efficient and effective pathology services.
The position will be accountable for supporting new pathology services through business case development and implementation of the strategic a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the Department/Service.

Selection Criteria:
- Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia
- Relevant health or management qualifications or equivalent
- Senior leadership and management experience with proven change management and leadership expertise, preferably with experience in a pathology service or a large health organisation.
- Proven track record of developing long lasting relationships and networks built on trust with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven experience in strategic business and financial acumen including extensive budget management experience.
- Demonstrated high level knowledge of the impact of changing models of care, service delivery practice and evidence in the development of services.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with a track record in effective negotiating, influencing, and problem solving experience in relating effectively at senior leadership level to provide effective solutions to complex issues and in responding to new funding and service delivery requirements.
