The Annandale Hotel is a well-known local in the inner-west region of Sydney NSW that has recently undergone a major refurb and upgrade.


We offer a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces for dining and drinking with family or friends and a newly-expanded function area for all types of events and celebrations.

We are open 7 days for lunch and dinner and believe in providing our patrons with more than just food and drink - we offer a complete social and entertainment experience.


We offer a wide range of pub classics, including snacks, mains and desserts, with a regularly-updated menu and changing weekly 'Chef's Menu' specials for something different.

Our menu showcases local seasonal produce and all food is prepared freshly onsite.

We are looking for an experience
Assistant Venue Manager to join the management team at
The Annandale Hotel.

The Assistant Venue Manager will report to and assist the senior managers in overseeing and managing the daily operation of the venue, leading the FOH team in looking after customers to ensure the best service and guest experience and helping to drive the development of the staff.


About The Role:

As Assistant Venue Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Helping to run a profitable & efficient operation
  • Leading & managing the frontofhouse team
  • Developing & implementing superior service standards that consistently exceed guest expectations
  • Working with senior managers on business planning
  • Staff motivation & building team culture
  • Training, developing & coaching food & beverage staff
  • Stock control & management including purchasing
  • Succession planning programs that focus on staff development & progression
  • Assisting with financial management including costcontrol
  • Implementing systems & processes to ensure the smooth running of the venue
  • Managing the reservations systems including taking bookings, greeting & seating guests
  • Ensuring the business is compliant with health regulations & that WHS is a focus for all team members

About You:

To be successful in this position, you will need to have:

  • Hospitality management training/qualifications (preferable)
  • At least 3+ years experience in a similar role
  • Experience at minimum Assistant Manager level
  • Experience in a similar dining/drinking/restaurant/pub venue
  • Demonstrated leadership & management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A passion for delivering excellent customer service
  • Strong business & financial acumen
  • A driven & resultsfocused attitude
  • Comprehensive food & beverage knowledge
  • Sound knowledge of all WHS requirements/regulations
  • The ability to motivate the team

A well-known live-music venue, the hotel has provided a platform for numerous Aussie bands and musicians over the years and has become a well-known institution in the inner-west region.

Full-Time salary:
$65,000 - $75,000


Salary:
$65, $75,000.00 per year
