Where the team fits in

  • The Team Lead
  • AR & AP sits within the Australian Finance team. The Australian Finance team consists of Financial Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payment Solutions working together to ensure accuracy/integrity of transactions for the Australian business, as well manage reporting to key internal and external stakeholders.
  • The Finance and Business Services team, or FaBS as we like to call them, is the engine room of the REA Group. The team is comprised of Finance, Risk & Assurance, Workplace Experience & Procurement, Customer Operations.
  • This crossfunctional group of individuals who are the best in their fields, provide strategic commercial input and guidance around decisions across all levels of the business, while continually improving the 'behind the scenes' of REA to support our people, drive efficiencies and maximise customer satisfaction.
What the role is all about- Lead the Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) team, fostering a supportive, inclusive & productive culture Measure and coach the team to improve productivity, efficiency and quality Manage team compliance against SOX controls Clearly communicate with stakeholders to ensure understanding of critical tasks timelines Owning the reporting responsibilities for the team, including monthly scorecard reporting and PTRS reporting Managing daily AR tasks such as EFT receipting and banking of cheques Managing AP tasks including successful execution of payment runs and managing Purchase Order receipting and approvalsWho we're looking for- Strong team leadership experience Ability to effectively communicate & collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes Previous relevant experience in accounting support roles, preferably in a high-volume environment Process improvement skills and experience Great eye for detail, and the ability to think outside the box Experience using Netsuite and Zendesk is not essential, although this would be an advantage Looks at tricky situations through a solutions-focused lens Work productively in a fast paced and agile environmentThe REA experience
