As a Ramp Duty Manager, you will primarily be responsible on a shift basis, for the day-to-day oversight and management of Star Aviation's operations at Melbourne Airport.

This role has a strong focus on team member development and performance management, in addition to ensuring an extremely high standard of customer service is delivered and operational SLA's are achieved in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Development and ongoing performance management of all relevant team members
  • Management of domestic and International operational performance
  • Consistency in achieving KPI's relating to safety, ontime performance, customer satisfaction and financial deliverables.
  • Management of the airport's customer service delivery to ensure it is in line with the company's brand values, in addition to acting as a secondary escalation point where required for problem resolution and disrupt management
  • Ensure team member training is compliant and knowledge is retained
  • Oversee data reporting used by Star Aviation within its Ground Handling business to ensure compliance.
  • Attend to daily airline meetings associated with airlines day of operations.
  • Working with airlines on day of operations and reporting and responding to information associated with the services we provide.
  • Complete all relevant shift reports required of this position prior to end of shift.
  • Identify new service opportunities with prospective Airlines.
  • Where required, resource management related to Day of Operations as well as arranging replacement staff due to unplanned leave or surge requirements.
  • Where required, conduct pre planning of flying activity in advance, commonly known as "minus plans".

Skills and Experiences:

Essential

  • Experience in managing small to large workforces
  • Computer literate
  • Experience within the Aviation/Airline Industry.
  • Experience in above and below wing operations.
  • Clear communication and good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform all duties at a high standard.
  • A valid driver license.
Desirable

  • A valid Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
  • Current ADA.
  • First Aid
