    Description

    Seeking a Fitter for Perth Workshop.

    Our client is wanting a fitter to work in the workshop for a minimum of 3 months, assembling and removing parts for machines

    Shift pattern: Monday to Friday 10-12 hour days - Overtime on Saturdays depending on workload
    Pay rate: $58 per hour flat rate
    3 month contact

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform tasks as directed, prioritizing Safety, Efficiency, and Quality.
    • Ensure compliance with Management Systems and relevant regulations.
    • Adhere to fitness for work standards.
    • Strictly adhere to Redpath's Philosophy, Guidelines, Code of Conduct, and Cardinal Rules.
    • Perform maintenance and repairs on large mobile plant fleet.
    • Conduct fault finding, component repairs/replacements.
    • Maintain equipment to meet regulations and site standards.
    • Keep workshop clean and organized.
    • Identify and manage risks.
    • Complete daily maintenance worksheets and oil sampling as needed.
    • Participate in meetings (pre-start, toolbox talks, safety, roster/shift changes).
    • Conduct pre-start equipment checks.
    • Implement Safe Stops and JSA's as required.
    • Immediately report incidents, accidents, or near misses.
    • Perform any other directed duties within capability.

    Requirements / Qualifications:

    • Qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mobile Equipment/Diesel Fitter trade.
    • Strong skills in fault finding and diagnostics.
    • Experience with underground mining equipment, especially heavy mobile machinery.
    • Knowledge of auto electrical systems.
    • Valid Class "C" driver's license with manual vehicle operation capability.
    • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
