Description

The Department of Communication Design is looking for a Lecturer, Communication Design to join their team.

Working to provide a strong contribution to teaching and research across Swinburne's Bachelor of Design, Bachelor of Communication Design (Honours) and Master of Design.

Playing a critical role in overall student experience and teaching quality the successful applicant will be acknowledged as an established design academic within your field with a growing reputation for innovation, high quality teaching and research.

About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

Demonstrated experience of tertiary teaching in Communication design with high quality student outcomes
Demonstrated ability to develop and manage curriculum and/or courses in Communication design with outstanding graduate outcomes, and with a high degree of organizational and administrative skill
Demonstrated professional practice in the communication design industry (a minimum of three years' experience), strong professional networks and evidence of expertise in design
An emerging track record in Communication Design research, possibly including photographic and digital media techniques as evidenced by nontraditional research outcomes and/or publications
An emerging track record of industry collaboration in communication design research and education

Qualifications

PhD in Communication Design
Membership of an appropriate professional body
Tertiary teaching qualification or equivalent
