The Team


The national Business Development team at MinterEllison is a high performing and critical component of the law firm and essential to the Firm's success.

The Business Development team supports the partnership by providing the full spectrum of business development and marketing services to ensure the firm develops and maintains strong relationships with new and existing clients.

The role sits within the Clients and Markets Excellence team.

This team is responsible for managing the creation and submission of the Firm's proposals, pricing, market research / insights and client engagement.

The team also drives best practice business development processes across the firm.


Your Role

Your responsibilities will include
As a Pricing Analyst you will support the team to deliver specialist pricing advice and coaching to the Firm.

Your responsibilities will include working with bid (sales) teams, client service teams, finance, other pricing team members and stakeholders to:

  • Provide valuable and actionable pricing insights and modelling to the business, in particular for proposals and price negotiations.
  • Maintain a close, collaborative working relationship with the Finance and Data and Analytics teams, enhancing the Firm's pricing analytics and tools suite to enhance effectiveness, frontline empowerment and useability, with guidance from other pricing team members.
  • Maintain and enhance existing pricing performance reporting processes, including internal and market analysis.
  • Maintain and enhance pricing-related support information (e.g. guidelines, benchmarks, standard terms and conditions).
  • Develop analytical insights as input into Executive and Leadership pricing strategy decisions.
  • Contribute the latest innovative thinking to ad-hoc projects, including the ongoing development of pricing analytics platforms and pricing tools.

More About You


Skills / Experience / Qualifications- Passionate about using data and analytics to solve business problems and have strong numeracy, analytical and problem-solving skills.- Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets with attention to detail.- Experience with business intelligence and data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Qlik Sense and PowerBI/DAX.- SQL skills and relational database knowledge would be highly valued.- Keen to develop a powerful analytics suite (in collaboration with the Data & Analytics team) in a large and complex business.- Keen to collaborate with a diverse array of people in different functions to solve business-wide problems and are commited to excellent and responsive outcomes.- Thrives in a high-stakes, fast turnaround, collaborative environment.- An undergraduate qualification in Commerce, Business, or other Management Accounting qualification, would be helpful (especially in business analytics).
