To help our Distribution Centre in Eagle Farm (QLD) operate at its optimal level, we have created a brandnew role of Workforce Planner who will report to the DC Manager and be based out of our Eagle Farm Distribution Centre.
    About the role

As Workforce Planner, your primary focus is to ensure that the Distribution Centre (DC) has a workforce available and rostered to work in accordance with the need projected in the workforce plan.- Reporting to the Distribution Centre Manager, you will use operational forecasting tools to determine the DC's staffing needs and then work to ensure that optimal staffing levels are recruited and rostered to work.

In doing so, a critical component of your role is to manage the staff roster/schedule so that all areas within the DC are appropriately and cost-efficiently resourced whilst maintaining compliance with the relevant Enterprise Agreement.

More specifically, this role will see you doing the following on a regular basis:
  • Planning and forecasting of staffing needs to ensure adequate coverage across all shifts including permanent and casual staff
  • Continuous review of labour needs to ensure effective deployment and use of resources
  • Managing the day to day relationship with HR/Recruitment and labour hire companies
  • Escalating employee issues via the relevant channel, including providing feedback on performance
  • Administering the recruitment process for team member roles
  • Ensuring rostering is compliant with relevant Enterprise Agreement
  • Responding to ad hoc requests and changes in response to operational needs
  • Ensuring services provided match invoices
  • General administrative duties as required

About you
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate that you have:

  • Warehouse/Logistics/Retail experience
  • this is an absolute must as you will need to bring with you an understanding of how warehouses and distribution centres operate
  • In addition, experience rostering in a fastpaced environment is highly desirable
  • A collaborative and friendly approach, with the ability to form strong working relationships with a variety of people
