About the Role

An opportunity currently exists for an experienced Grade 2 Social Worker to join our team on a permanent basis. To fulfil this role, it is essential that you have experience working in an inpatient hospital social work position. This position will be based in the acute wards at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne (SVHM) located in Fitzroy. Liaise with patients, their families and/or carers to co-ordinate, facilitate and communicate patient treatment and outcomes- Actively participate in quality improvement and research activities- Provide supervision and participate in clinical education programs as required- Promote and develop positive relationships within the department, wider organisation and with community partners

Classifications for Grade 2 Social Workers range from SC21 to SC24 ($83,361 - $95,825 per annum).

Your Contribution- Bachelor Degree or Qualifying Masters in Social Work- Significant social work experience in a hospital or related inpatient health care setting is essential- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain
