The opportunity

It's an exciting time to join the QBE Insurance technology function. We're leading an ambitious and game-changing digital transformation of the organisation underpinned by great technology and systems. To achieve this, we're seeking multiple experienced Value Stream Technology Leads to join the team on a permanent basis.

In these critical roles, you will:

Drive technology change across an Agile value stream within a broad-scale digital transformation program
Represent the technology function at value stream leadership level, strengthening engagement with key stakeholders, managing technology risks and delivering in line with expectations
Provide direction on the best technology solutions to achieve business outcomes, driving a mindset of innovation
Coordinate across QBE Technology, including the appropriate allocation of Technology capability and capacity, to successfully deliver on transformation outcomes and build a culture of continuous improvement

Your story so far

To ensure your success in this role, you'll demonstrate:

Extensive leadership experience within technology delivery in large organisations
Proven ability to achieve success and drive outcomes within scaled transformation programs in an agile environment
Exceptional partnering skills with an ability to blend metrics, insights and advice seamlessly together to form recommendations
A strong skillset of leading, influencing and negotiating with stakeholders at all levels within a matrix environment

Key selection criteria

Have you led delivery of technology across 5 or more agile squads simultaneously?
Have you led delivery of a project or program with annual spend >$20M?
How many years' experience do you have delivering complex technology initiatives?
What is the largest team you've led for more than 6 months? (hard line/dotted line)
Have you led technology delivery with both Agile and Traditional delivery approaches?
