Our client is seeking up to ten experienced Community Engagement Officers to join the 'Strong Families Our Way' and 'Closing the Gap' programs across various locations in NSW.


The Organisation
We are partnering with AbSec - the peak Aboriginal organisation in the NSW child and family welfare sector.

They provide an Aboriginal perspective on child protection and out-of-home care policy to the NSW Government, as well as supporting the Aboriginal community-controlled sector to deliver effective services for Aboriginal children and families.

They are a not-for-profit, incorporated community organisation, governed by an all-Aboriginal board.


The Role


There are a number of vacancies across NSW in the 'Strong Families Our Way' and one role within the 'Closing the Gap' program.

Please see below for position descriptions for each program role.


The Community Engagement Officers support, design and facilitate community engagement activities and develop related materials relating to the 'Strong Families Our Way' and 'Closing the Gap' Programs.

The roles have oversight in the delivery of sector and community engagement activities to increase AbSec's presence and profile.

The roles also has the responsibility to report back on all community engagement and consultations to inform AbSec's policy and systemic advocacy responses.
