Due to increased work, Alstom seeks a Trade Assistant to assist the Lead Service Technician with performing routine preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, vehicle recovery, on-call support and training of maintenance personnel.

This role is a fixed term 6 month contract with the potential to lead to a permanent position.


Key Responsibilities:

Day to day field service support to ensure vehicles are operating safely and in accordance with contract performance requirements

Workshop housekeeping tasks, ensuring a clean and safe work environment Commitment to a Zero Harm workplace that promotes an excellent teamwork attitude
Carry out general housekeeping duties required by the supervisor or other tasks which may be incidental & peripheral to your trades assistant role
Ensure that the fleet is running efficiently and safely and that we abide by relevant industry standards.
Able to work according to rotating roster arrangements, including weekends and public holidays.
Cleaning of vehicles - Steam Cleaning seats, washing, cleaning windows.
Washing down pits.
Able to work in a team environment as well as independently and proactively with minimum supervision.
Willing to undertake further training to achieve additional qualifications if required.
Able to undertake various activities that may involve a degree of physical labour.
Able to work according to rotating roster arrangements, including weekends
and public holidays.
Be prepared to hold a forklift or other permit when required.
