About the Role


Actively support the individual needs of people who access our Queensland Community Support Scheme (QCSS) services in Buderim and Mooloolaba.

You will provide a person-centred approach to assist clients to achieve their goals and meet their support needs. You will often support multiple clients per day between the hours of 8am and 5pm Monday - Friday.

We have casual positions available with flexible working hours to suit your lifestyle and can be based between school hours if required.


Key Responsibilities
Assist clients to improve their independence according to their identified needs and goals inclusive of:

In home supports:

  • Domestic assistance
  • Personal care
  • Assistance with meal preparation
  • Skill development

Community Connections supports:

  • Social support
  • Shopping assistance
  • Social linking
  • Assist clients to improve their independence in according to their identified needs and goals
  • Establish a rapport and collaborate effectively with clients and their family

Skills & Experience

  • An unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence, and a reliable vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or similar)
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Excellent organisational skills, hygiene practices and problemsolving abilities
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships


To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.

You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process
