About the Role


Reporting to the Senior Payroll Coordinator, this position is responsible for perform payroll accurate and timely manner and provide support to internal and external clients.

This role will be a hybrid arrangement of working from home & our Hornsby head office location.


What you will be doing:


Payroll:


  • Assist processing fortnightly payroll ensuring accuracy of all entries, funds transfers and compliance to the range of legislative requirements including Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Service Industry Award 2010, Supported Employment Services Award 2020, Taxation legislation, Superannuation requirements, Fair Work Act and other legislation which governs terms and conditions of employment of employees in NSW.
  • Processing of pay for both timesheet & autopay (salaried) employees.
  • Assist posting payroll journal into finance system fortnightly and perform payroll related general ledger accounts reconciliations monthly.
  • Assist processing all Work Cover related wages and assist preparing Work Cover documents as and when required.
  • Assist performing end of year process including reporting to AccessPay for FBT and issuing PAYG payment summary to all employees
  • Assist maintaining payroll related information in payroll system
  • Be the contact for payroll system support desk, AccessPay and Centrelink
  • Assist processing and maintaining payroll related reports and forms
  • Liaising with all Unisson employees as well as external stakeholders
  • Suggest, develop and implement continuous improvement strategies that will assist in maintaining an efficiency for Unisson

Other Duties:


  • Assisting longterm business plans related to payroll
  • Ad hoc reporting
  • Assist Finance Team
  • Assist with Team Projects

Essential Criteria

  • Tertiary qualification in business or accounting
  • Minimum 4 years of fulltime, Australian payroll experience
  • Experience processing full function, end to end payroll for both timesheet & autopay employees.
  • Intermediate Microsoft excel skills

Additional skills that would be advantageous

  • Prior experience/knowledge of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Service Industry Award 2010 (SCHADS) & the Supported Employment Services Award 2020.
  • Prior experience working in the Disability industry

  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft suite
  • High problemsolving abilites
