This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.


This role will be responsible for:

  • in collaboration with the SRR Research team, develop an evidence base to inform the approach for place-based reviews;
- partnering with key SRR leaders to collaboratively develop possible approaches to place-based reviews;
- co-developing the methodology for the approach and delivery of these place-based reviews;
- developing quality and accessible papers and reports to inform conversation and key decisions;
- delivering consistent, high quality advice;
- developing action/work plans to ensure the achievement of key deliverables within specified timeframes;
- meeting objectives in accordance with departmental policies and procedures, and relevant legislation; and
- leading strategies that foster high quality collaboration, communication and information sharing to enable a clear understanding of the complexities and challenges that exist in delivering this important work.

Eligibility requirements:


  • You must be a permanent employee of the department with a substantive teaching or classified officer role employed under Teaching in State Education Award
  • State 2016, have current full registration as a teacher and should be aware that temporary internal moves for the purposes of the department's payroll processes are referred to as internal secondments.
  • Employees' engaged temporarily as Education Officer
  • Special Duties have a requirement of 361⁄4 hours per week attendance and arrangements as outlined in clause 7.4 of the Department of Education State School Teachers Certified Agreement 2019.
