About Northern Beaches Hospital
Operated by Healthscope, Northern Beaches Hospital (NBH) is located in Frenchs Forest, only 13kms north of Sydney CBD. The hospital is a contemporary 488 bed facility comprising of 60% public and 40% private beds.

Providing a wide range of health services to the local community, including Surgery, a 50 bed Emergency Department, Intensive Care, Birthing, Paediatrics, Cardiac, Mental Health, Dialysis, Cancer Centre and Outpatients.

NBH has 13 operating theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheter theatre, two Catheter Laboratories and four endoscopy procedure rooms, all supported by a critical care unit which includes two intensive care wards.

Northern Beaches Hospital is a dedicated facility for all patients in the local area.

It was thoughtfully designed to optimise patient safety and overall experience, and to provide meaningful management and operational efficiencies that benefit everyone.

About the Role

We are a supportive and progressive department where there are a variety of opportunities for CPD, along with opportunities to be involved in research and audit.

We have multiple permanent, full-time or part-time opportunities for AHPRA Registered Anaesthetic Technicians / ODPs with a current practicing certificate to join our new, state-of-the-art facility.


The successful Anaesthetic Technician will be responsible for:

  • Providing skilled assistance to the Anaesthetists
  • Mentoring trainee Anaesthetic Technicians
  • The provision of exceptional patient care
This position is based in a large, friendly environment.

It is a 24/7 service and so you will need to have the flexibility to work a full rotating roster.


Your skills will include the following:

  • A recognised qualification in Australia
  • AHPRA Registration
  • A minimum of three years post graduate experience
A good sense of humour is desirable in our department.

You will need to be able to keep your cool when the pressure is on and not be afraid to go the extra mile.

You will have a professional approach to your work and understand the importance of team work and supporting each other.
