We currently have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced and passionate Retail Tenancy Delivery Manager to join us on permanent basis.


The role will be an integral part of the retail and project teams with key responsibility of delivering retail tenancies across the international and all 3 domestic terminals.

The role will also support the base build development and staging (vacates and openings) whilst maintaining a certain retail offering and minimising operational disruption during the project.

Someone in the role will be working closely with the Retail Leasing Manager and Terminal Projects team, as well as other stakeholders as required for tenancy delivery.

With the aviation and travel sector booming as we head into 2023, on top of major projects that will underpin the future growth and development of Melbourne Airport and Victoria as a whole, now is a very exciting time to join


Key responsibilities:

The role's duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Tenancy co-ordination / tenancy delivery (whole tenancy lifecycle)
  • Interface between retail tenants and Melbourne Airport project team
  • Works will span (but not limited to): minor works, maintenance works, defits, popups, full fitouts and new developments
  • Project oversight and responsibility for the delivery of 3rd Party works, including building approval, site handover, access and sign off.
  • Internal and external stakeholder engagement and management.
  • Preferred but not essential relevant postgraduate degree
years of construction industry experience, including involvement in retail specific projects.

  • Preferably airport experience (knowledge of the ABC and permit process)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects / tenancies concurrently
  • Strong skills in stakeholder management (internal and external)
  • Safety and risk management and continuous improvement knowledge
  • Ability to comprehend construction plans and detail
  • Contract management skills, specifically knowledge of lease obligations, construction contracts etc.
  • Demonstrated commitment to a safe working environment.
